IVAA Ordinary General Meeting: It's that time of the year again!

We delightfully invite you to our 2023 IVAA Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) on Sunday, 3rd of December at 11:00 (CET, GMT+1).

The annual IVAA OGM is our chance to showcase the efforts from this year, and discuss with our members (current and potential) our future plans. Briefly, during the meeting, we will:

  • Review IVAA's role and activities during 2023

  • Review our Statute and approve any changes (we propose a change to our fees for Alumni not working, see below for details)

  • Elect new members for the Steering Committee (we open four SC positions for anyone to fill)

Please remember that every person who is connected to LIVE is invited to attend the OGM although only registered members will be able to vote on the election for the next Steering Committee and the approval of the membership fees. We kindly ask IVAA members to attend or delegate their power of attorney to someone else so that we reach quorum.

Are YOU a New Face of the IVAA Steering Commitee?

IVAA SC has four open positions: Vice-President, Secretary, Member's Coordinator and Quality Control Manager. If you are a LIVE alumnus, student or lecturer, ready to take IVAA forward with your creativity and leadership, a spot at the SC awaits you, whether or not you are currently registered as an IVAA member!

Being part of IVAA is a very rewarding experience and an opportunity to get closer to past, present, and future generations of fellow vaccinologists.

So, what are you waiting for?

Wish to Know More About the Proposed Changes to Membership Fees? Here they are!

As stipulated by the IVAA Statute (our Constitution, attached here for your information), each year at the OGM a vote must be held to approve the next year's membership fees. As the current Steering Committee, we are proposing to modify the fees for Alumni not working. We are aware that this year has been extremely difficult financially for everyone, especially for those not working and/or based in LIC/LMIC. Therefore, we propose to make the 5€ fee for Alumni not working an optional fee, to be paid at their choice depending on their financial situation. The rest of the fees remain the same for 2024, which means they will be as follow:

  • M1 and M2 students: 10 euros

  • Alumni – currently working: 10 euros

  • Alumni – not working yet: optional 5 euros

  • Teachers/lecturers: 0 euros

  • Sponsors: 0 euros
